Genetic ID NA, Inc. Offers Risk-Based Management Program for Food Authenticity

Food fraud has become a growing issue as globalization of the food supply and supply chain complexity have increased. A diverse and complex supply chain has made it more difficult to monitor product quality and reduce the risk that contaminated and/or adulterated food is passed on to the consumer. Products frequently mislabeled or adulterated include fish, produce, juices, olive oil, and honey. Retailers, manufacturers, and distributors often do not have the expertise, technical knowledge, or resources to a tackle a problem of this complexity.
